4/9/15 GAME NOTES: Shows quickness and athleticism behind the dish.  Blocked most balls in the dirt, with good lateral quickness.  Has some arm strength with carry.  Registered pop times between 2.01-2.10 between innings. Needs to use his lower half more when throwing.    

2/22/15: The 6-foot, 187 pound catcher showcased a good stance behind the plate with soft hands.  Squares up pitches well.  Very athletic with quick feet.  From the crouch was 76 mph and recorded pop times of 2.02-2.09.  At the plate hits from an athletic setup, loads back.  Stride is short.  Shows average bat speed with an uphill path to the baseball.  Rhythm is fluid.  Likes to pull the ball.  Recorded a high exit velo of 81 mph.  

6/25/14: 6 foot / 187 pounds. 4.37 H-1^st.  Athletic, looks good in uniform. Soft hands and a smooth ball transfer. Has quick feet, moves well behind the plate. Appears to be recovering from a hand injury. Hits from a balanced stance with a sound approach. Has plus bat speed with good extension through contact. Line drive type hitter.

2/22/14: 5-foot-11, 175 pound sophomore was 1.89-2.09 with his pop times at the event.  Possesses good athleticism behind the plate with arm strength.  Still raw mechanically and needs to improve throwing accuracy.  Was 74 mph from the crouch. High ceiling.  Offensively starts wide with no stride.  Uses a simple load back with partial use of his lower half.  Bat speed is above average.  Swing plane is slightly uphill and long.  Registered an exit velo of 83 mph. 

12/15/13: 5-foot-11, 175 pound sophomore is athletic and quick behind the plate.  Possesses soft hands and a good setup.  Very projectable catcher.  Showcased good arm strength at 76 mph.  Produced an event best pop time of 1.95.  Pop times ranged between 1.95-2.05.  At the plate hits from a wide base with no stride.  Hands are quick.  Lower half is inconsistent with good feet.  Gets long at times.  As he gets more consistent at the plate, projects to be a high level player.
