2/23/13: Aldridge continues to improve. The 6-foot-3, 210 pound catcher showcased really well. Stays low with plus feet and above average arm strength. Top pop time was a 1 .97. Athletic receiver gets wide on occasion. At the plate he is very aggressive and has a tendency to over rotate. He works with a big load and makes hard contact. He possesses quick hands and good strength.
Aldridge is a 6-foot-2 inch, 190 pound sophomore catcher. Aldridge is consistently in the 2.0’s with his pop time, even showing a 1.97 at the Bloomington event. At the plate he shows good bat speed and the ability to drive the ball up the middle. When getting to extension he displays good pop. 7.83 60 (in rain). Aldridge is a 6 foot-2 inch 180 pound physically mature catcher. He threw an impressive 2.16 pop time, with a quick exchange behind the plate. In the infield he was consistently 74-76 mph across the diamond. Offensively, he demonstrates some strength in his upper half, with quick hands. Aldridge quickly asserted himself as a potential catching prospect.
