Displayed average blocking ability and the ability to stick pitches well. Possesses good athleticism behind the dish. Offensively, starts balanced with a wide base. Loads back using a short stride. Good use of the lower half and good balance throughout the swing. Possesses above average bat speed with some barrel whip. Recorded a high exit velo of 84 mph. At 3B showcased a strong, accurate arm across the field with carry at 84, short arm action. Possesses average hands in the field. Clean exchange. Feet are heavy. Average actions.
7/29/14: 5 foot 10 inches, 187 pounds, 8.25/60,2.03-2.09 pop time. Athletic catcher with quick hands and fluid feet. Throws are 75 mph to second on target and with carry. Hits in a balanced stance with a short stride, his lower body explodes and generates a fast bat on a level plain with extension through contact. He is a pull hitter that will hit for power.
6/11/14: 5-foot-10, 187 pound catcher possesses a quick arm and was 73 from the crouch. Popped a 1.97 at the event. Sets up high with a low glove. Offensively possesses quick hands and bat speed. Stride is short and gets good use of the lower half. Swing can get long at times, but does get to extension. Projectable power for a 2017. Needs to mechanically clean up at the plate. At 3B was 78 across the diamond with above average hands. Good follow in the 2017 class.
9/15/13: 5-foot-9, 160 pound freshman was a 2.15-2.2 with his pop times. From the crouch was 68 mph. Arm is quick, but currently lacks overall strength. His feet are a little slow and heavy at times with raw actions. At the plate has an athletic, adavancd setup and displayed some quick twitch with his hands. Gets to extension with some projectable power. Uses his lower half well. A little violent at times and lower half will spin.
