2/22/14: 6-foot, 172 pound junior was 2.02-2.18 with his pop times at the event.  Continues to improve as he gains more experience behind the plate. Setup has improved from previous events.  Needs to continue to work on his flexibility and receiving skills.  Showcased some arm strength at 76 mph behind the plate.  Offensively, starts balanced with no stride.  Load is smooth.  Hits with low hands and remains balanced throughout.  Swing plane is level with a short path to the baseball. Was 79 across the infield from a short arm action.  Showcased average hands and plays through the baseball well.  Foot speed and overall defensive actions suggests he’s more of a 3B at the next level.   

10/19/13: 6-foot, 165 pound catcher hits from a closed setup, in a crouch position.  Shows a smooth load with a leg kick.  Possesses some bat speed with overall good balance throughout the swing.  Consistently makes hard contact.  Defensively shows some athleticism and average arm strength.  Overall catching ability is average at the high school level.  Needs to improve his flexibility and receiving. Projects to improve defensively with more experience.  Defensively in the INF was 73 across the diamond.  Displayed some lateral quickness with an above average glove.  Overall solid defender, projects as a 2B.  Ran a 7.40 60.
