John A. Logan JC commit. 6-foot-1, 160-pound middle infielder with lean, athletic frame. A natural smooth defender, soft hands, quick transfers, loose and athletic arm action. Right-handed hitter, quick hands, barreled a ball to deep center that went for a triple to lead off the game against Glenwood.

2/10/18 - Taul is a 6-foot-1 170-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Illinois’ 2019 class.  He ran a 7.53 60 and has a 93 mph exit velocity. At the plate, open stance, smooth weight sign to back side, stays under control, slight lift in bat path, gap to gap line drives with occasional pull side power.  On the infield, athletic actions, loose high three quarters arm slot, fluid feet to the ball, gathers feet and momentum to throw, exchange on time with footwork, mostly accurate throws.

6/13/17 - Taul is a 6-foot-1 160-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Illinois’ 2019 class.  He ran a 7.61 laser timed 60 and a 4.72 home to first.  He has an 86 mph exit velo. At the plate, balanced stance, slight rotation to load, long and lean frame, quick hands, gap to gap approach, flashed pull side pop.  On the infield, 81 mph positional velo, loose three quarters release, athletic actions, works around the ball and through the catch, quick catch and throws. Collected a single in game action

3.16.17 - Lean, wiry framed shortstop. Actiony defender, soft hands, plays well on the move, maintains body control and has ease to his game. Arm is loose, accurate and above-average for the left-side of the diamond. Offensively, hit in the four hole. Balanced, slightly open setup, loose, whippy hands in swing. Hit a line-drive RBI single off the third baseman's glove. High follow shortstop in the 2019 class.

1/31/16 - Taul is a 6-foot 150-pound right handed-pitcher in Illinois’ 2019 class from Alton HS.  Projectable build with clean arm action, high three quarters release, repeats delivery, drop and drive, throws with regular effort, fastball at 76-78 mph, curveball has 11-to-5 shape, shows to be a good pitch as he develops, controllable change-up at 67-68 mph. He ran a 7.64 60 and has an exit velo of 81 mph. At the plate, swing produced solid consistent contact to the middle and pull side of field, athletic set up, linear load in back leg, to touch, level to extension, feel for the barrel.  On the infield, athletic actions, high three quarters release, quick transfer and release, accurate throws, 73 mph positional velo.
