4/22/14 Physical sophomore, 6-foot-3, 190-pounds, broad shoulders, long legs, strong upper half. Delivery lacks fluidity, leg lift is up and over, separates hands outside of knee, needs to repeat better. Arm action is short on the backside, quick strong arm, high ¾ slot. Fastball touched 86 mph in the first inning, sat 82-84 mph throughout his outing, touching 85 on occasion. Fastball has consistent cut action, late action through the zone led to many swing and misses. Currently lacks feel for the curveball ranged, 66-71 mph. Already showing cut action on his fastball, could be a natural transition to develop a high end slider. Lutze is an interesting follow in the 2016 class showing present strength and a quick arm.
