Arm action is long from an over the top slot, shows some accuracy, 78 mph out of the crow hop. Offensively hits from a slightly taller, open stance, short stride. Quiet approach, keeps things simple, line drive guy with bat speed. 7.37 runner in the 60.

4/29/13 - 5-foot-8, 150-pound left-handed hitting junior. Extremely balanced, level swing; mechanically sound with barrel whip. Has advanced overall approach. Plays solid outfield; gets good reads on balls and covers enough ground.

10/712 - Larsen is 5-foot-8, 160-pound left-handed outfielder. Larsen showed experienced outfield actions playing through the ball well with athletic footwork. His arm worked like a true outfielder showing long over the top actions at 78 mph. Offensively Larsen displayed an easy, smooth left-handed stroke. Larsen hits slightly off of his front foot while keeping his hands back well, showing the ability to consistently spray line drives to both sides of the field. Larsen also ran a 7.15 60.

Max Larsen, from Lyons Township HS, is an athletic Class of 2014 OF. In the outfield, Larsen showcased a solid, accurate arm (77 mph) with some carry. Larsen played through the baseball and displayed a clean over the top release. At the plate, Larsen showcased a smooth, well-balanced swing that exhibited a level bat path. Larsen is a line drive hitter whose swing will develop additional power as he physically develops.
