9.18.15 - Verbally committed to Southeastern Community College.
5.27.15 - 5-foot-10, 170-pound left-handed hitting RHP/3B, impressed in five inning outing. Shorter frame, strong lower half. Fastball sat 85-87 mph touching 88 mph several times in first two innings. Still pitching 83-85 mph touching 86 in the fifth. Works from a long, quick, high ¾ arm slot, pendulum swing arm action, stays inside the baseball with release point, creating natural sink due to arm action. Repeats delivery, turns/tucks lower half over the rubber, short leg lift, lands in line with home plate, square at foot strike. Fastball has heavy sinking action, occasional two-seam run when he gets on the side of it, tough to square up when down in the zone. Also flashed 73 mph curveball, 11/5 shape, showed the ability to throw it for strikes, but primarily pounded the fastball in this outing. Also showed an 80 mph changeup, used sparingly. Threw a 75-78 mph slider last summer, so has a fourth pitch in his back pocket, interesting prospect to follow as his velocity has increased from 80-83 mph last June. Also impressed at the plate with three hits (two doubles). Open stance, utilizes legs well, short leg kick stride, compact stroke, hits ball to all fields. First double to right-center, second to dead center on a ball misplayed by center fielder, last single went inside out on a fastball and lined a ball to left field for his third RBI.6/12/14 - 5-foot-10, 170-pound left-handed hitting 3B/RHP impressed with legitimate two-way ability. On the mound sat 80-81 mph touching 83 from long high-3/4 arm action with some effort. Threw 68-70 mph curveball and 75-78 mph slider. 71-74 mph changeup was thrown with fastball arm speed with arm side run. Offensively hits from a balanced setup with minimal stride and a smooth load with explosive bat speed producing line drives from gap-to-gap with 80 mph exit velocity. Also showed solid defensive actions at third base with above average arm strength.
