1/20/13 - Lanky frame, 6-foot-1, 175-pound two way player. Delivery shows some rhythm, tall and fall approach, long arm action, high back swing, high ¾ arm action, moderate arm speed. Fastball shows run and sink to arm side, shows control, sits 76-78 mph, Changeup has deception, thrown with command, excellent arm side action, 69-71 mph, above average feel for the pitch. Curveball works on 11/5 plane, gradual break, 64-66 mph. Offensively uses short stride, minimal load, some collapse in back side, level bat path, bat speed present, 86 mph exit velocity.
10/28/12 - Farmer is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound two-way player. Farmer showed a long, high ¾ arm action across the diamond at 76 mph. At the plate, he hit from a slightly open stance producing an aggressive swing. He showed some line drive, gap to gap tendencies. On the mound, his fastball showed run at 75-77 mph from a high ¾ arm slot. His curveball showed 11/5 action at 65-67 mph.
6/13/12 Farmer is a 6-foot-1, 170-pound two-way player who threw the pitches for strikes. On the mound, Farmer was 74-75 mph with his fastball that showed some run to it. He threw a 64-65 mph curveball that had a nice 11/5 shape. He also threw a 64-67 mph changeup with solid sink to it. Offensively, Farmer had good balance and bat speed in his swing. When he connected with a pitch he exhibited power potential.
