4/16/14 - Dallas Baptist Commit. Versatile senior was not tested behind the plate, but consistently produced 2.2 pop times with accuracy between innings. Smooth transfer to short arm action with good carry. Showed good hands behind the plate and has the ability to play multiple positions. Offensively, also hit from an open stance with low quiet hands. Bat path stayed on plane. Showed the ability to pull in two singles, also lined out to centerfield twice. 
10/20/13: 6-foot 160 pound senior hits from the left side.  Overall solid hitter.  Relies heavily on his hands.  Uses a slight leg kick and keeps bat in the zone for a long time.  Showcased good loft, suggesting he should hit for some power at the next level.  82 mph Exit Velo. From the OF was 85 mph with good arm strength and carry.  Plays through the baseball well.  All around athletic OF, projecting well at the next level.

6.13.13 - Athletic, 6-foot, 165-pound utility player. Sandmann showed a well-rounded game with the ability to perform at multiple positions. Behind the plate he showed a short, over the top arm action resulting in 1.94-2.01 pop times with arm strength of 81 mph from the crouch. On the infield he showed advanced arm strength at 86 mph with carry, longer arm action. He showed arm strength again in the outfield at 86 mph with carry. Offensively hits from the left side, slightly open stance. Flat bat path from load to finish, line drive guy, simple approach, works the middle of the field.

4/30/13 - Athletic build, 6-foot, 155-pound multi-positional player. Offensively hits from the left side, shows above average bat speed, flat bat path, shows barrel awareness. Defensively shows reliable hands with a playable arm across the diamond. On the mound, pitched at 81-83 mph, touching 84 mph. Fastball showed slight arm side run. Slider at 75-76 with occasional sweeping action. Sandmann is an athlete with a well-rounded game who shows the ability to produce for his team.

2/17/13 - Average build, 6-foot, 155-pound two way player. Defensively shows excellent accuracy from the crouch, pop times range from 1.99-2.12, 79 mph from the crouch. Also shows arm strength from the outfield (86 mph) and infield (81 mph). Offensively hits from open stance, short stride, dives some. Hits off back side, average pop, lacks timing, 80 mph exit velocity from the tee.
6/14/12 Sandmann is a 6-foot, 160-pound multi-positional player who showed well in all facets of the game. Sandmann can do it all, exhibiting good footwork and solid angles in the outfield with accurate throws that were clocked at 84 mph. At shortstop, he showcased solid hands and good lateral movement with a quick transfer. Behind the plate, Sandmann had solid feet and a quick release with a best pop time of 2.01 and was clocked at 75 mph from the crouch. At the plate, he starts with a slightly open stance and has a smooth swing that generates good pop. On the mound, Sandmann showed a fastball that topped at 83 mph and a curveball that sat in the 65-69 mph range. His third pitch was a 65-67 mph changeup. Additionally, Sandmann ran a 7.29 60.
1/22/12 Pick a position, any position, and Sandmann plays it – and plays it remarkably well. The 6-foot, 160-pound athlete proved he can play anywhere on the field with skill.  Behind the plate, Sandmann had pop time range of 2.03-2.08 and was clocked at 78 mph from the crouch with accurate throws.  In the field, Sandmann played well with athletic footwork and natural instincts from both the outfield and middle infield positions  He was clocked at 80 mph from the outfield and 73 mph from the infield.  Offensively, Sandmann is a left-handed hitter with an open setup and a smooth load.  He has an easy, loose swing with an athletic lower half and showed the ability to stay behind the ball.  He also ran a 7.39 60. On the mound, Sandmann continued to impress with his feel for three pitches and his quick arm.  He throws an 81-83 mph fastball with some run, a 67-69 mph slurve, and a 70-71 mph changeup, all of which he threw for strikes.
