1/13/13 - Hogan is a 5-foot-10, 170-pound infielder who displayed a well-rounded game. Hogan showed an aggressive approach at the plate hitting from a balanced stance with solid bat speed, he also showed the ability to create separation and drive the baseball with authority. He registered 84 mph exit velocities from the tee. Defensively, he exhibited arm strength of 81 mph across the diamond using a short over the top arm action resulting in carry and accuracy to his target.
10/14/12 - Hogan is a well-built 5-foot-10, 165-pound infielder that showed well from third base. Hogan’s arm plays well from the left side of the field using a short over the top arm action that showed above average carry across the diamond. His exchange is clean and plays well from third base showing soft hands and the ability to play the bunt well on the run. Offensively, Hogan has a short quick swing that produces gap to gap line drives. He hits from an open, slightly crouched stance and takes an aggressive approach in the box. All around Hogan showed well as a gap to gap hitting third baseman at the next level.
10/7/12 - Hogan is an athletic 5-foot-10, 165-pound infielder. Hogan showcased the ability to play multiple positions on the infield with the arm strength to play the left side (80 mph). His arm played well showing good carry and accuracy when both in position, and on the move. Offensively, Hogan stays inside the ball well showing good bat control and consistently finding the barrel. Hogan also showed good bat speed with an exit speed of 84-85 mph off the tee.
