Defensively, threw 85 mph from the outfield from short, quick, high ¾ arm slot with accuracy. Soft hands fielding the baseball, fluid footwork, clean exchanges. Did not take balls in the infield, but hands and arm strength may work in the middle infield as well. Ran a 6.93 60.
7/9/14 - 5-foot-8, 160-pound fleet-footed, right-handed hitting, middle infielder currently ranked No. 87 in Illinois’ 2016 class, impressed running the Metro East’s second fastest 60 at 6.79.  Hits from a balanced, slightly open setup, with hands loading smoothly with very little movement.  Short stride and short, level bat path creates extension and line drives from gap-to-gap.  Does a very good job staying inside the baseball with short, compact swing creating 80 mph exit velocity.  Defensively, showcased athletic feet, playing through the baseball in the outfield, throwing from a high ¾ arm action, with some length in back that shortens and comes to his ear, with some accuracy up to 80 mph.
1.19.14 - 5-foot-8, 155-pound outfielder with above average foot speed. Ran a 6.84 60. Foot speed translated to the outfield where he showed quality footwork getting to and through the ball. Arm works long, ¾ slot at 80 mph. Offensively, hits from a balanced setup with a smooth load, short stride, maintains excellent balance through contact. Exit velocity off a tee was 80 mph. 6.19.13 - The 2016 grad showed skills in all aspects of the showcase with some projectability.  At 5-foot-7, 144 pounds, Cimarolli started off by running the third-fastest 60 at the event at 6.87.  Offensively, hits in a balanced setup with a short stride.  Has a short path to the ball generating pop with an 85 mph exit velocity.  Consistently hit line-drives and the gaps.  Has a clean exchange from the outfield, throws with short arm action from a high ¾ slot with some accuracy at 73 mph.  Cimarolli is a player to watch as he matures.
