Works from a long, loose, ¾ arm slot, toe up at balance point, compact leg lift (foot stays under knee), opens up lower half early, creating arm side run on fastball. Breaking ball is slurvy, 65-67 mph, showed the ability to spot it to both sides of the plate, back door’d it to a lefty for a strikeout in the first.

10/14/12 - Niewinski is a 5-foot-8, 175-pound two-way player. Niewinski showed some good accuracy across the diamond at 73 mph. He showed to be a line drive type hitter posting exit speeds of 75 mph from the tee.
