10/13/13 - Committed to Rend Lake one day after the Unsigned Senior Showcase. Long frame, lanky build, highly projectable, 6-foot-6, 150-pound right handed pitcher. Arm action is long and loose, works from multiple arm slots, high ¾ to sidearm. Fastball was thrown from both ¾ and sidearm slots, from a ¾ slot played at 80-83 mph, side arm slot was 79-81 mph, showed excellent arm side run from the side arm slot. Curveball showed 11/5 action out of a ¾ slot, showed control, 65-67 mph. Also featured a slider from a sidearm slot at 68-69 mph. Changeup had occasional sinking action, 73-74 mph.
2/17/13 - Lanky frame, slender build, 6-foot-5, 140-pound right handed pitcher. On the mound operates from multiple arm angles, works from a ¾ and side arm slot. Fastball ranges from 76-80 mph, showed more arm strength from ¾ arm slot, fastball showed sink, thrown for strikes. Curveball has 11/5 tilt, some feel, gradual break, 65-68 mph, keeps it down in the zone, thrown from ¾ arm slot. Changeup has some feel, thrown with similar arm speed to fastball, 73-74 mph.
Fulkerson is an extremely long, lanky 6-foot-3, 125-pound right-handed pitcher who possesses considerable upside. Fulkerson has extraordinarily long limbs, and his arm works with little effort. He operates from two arm angles: a 3/4 and lower-3/4 slots. Although there’s not much variance between the arm angles, his higher slot allows him to throw his 63-65 mph curveball with consistent, sharp two-plane break. Fulkerson’s fastball sat at 75-76 mph. With the fluidity and looseness of his arm, he should see a significant velocity spike as he grows into his body. Fulkerson also showed good feel for a changeup, in the 69-71 mph range. All three pitches Fulkerson threw for strikes.
