6/19/14 - 5-foot-10, 165-pound middle infielder. 6.95 runner. Offensively hits from a tall setup, narrow stance, longer stride, smooth loading action. Lower half works and shows good balance through contact. Middle to opposite field approach, above average bat speed, 84 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively uses a shorter, loose arm action across the diamond, high ¾ slot (79 mph).

2/16/14 5-foot-10, 175-pound infielder with advanced foot speed. Ran a 6.88 60. Defensively he showed solid hands and fields the ball athletically. Arm works loose, from high ¾ at 79 mph with accuracy and carry. At the plate he hits from a balanced stance, smooth load, short stride, and quality balance through contact. Swing is short and level, with aggressive bat speed, fluid rhythm, and gap-to-gap barrel control. Exit velocity off a tee was 75 mph.

6.13.13 - 5-foot-10, 165-pound middle infielder. Defensively showed above average hands, foot work is fluid and athletic, 7.05 60 yard dash. Arm works across the diamond at 74 mph, showed accuracy. Offensively hits from a balanced setup, smooth load, short stride. Above average bat speed, 79 mph exit velocity from the tee, shows good balance through finish.

5/13/13 - Currently ranked No. 42 in Illinois’ 2015 class. 5-foot-10, 160-pound middle infielder. Shows high-level athletic actions.  Ran a 4.30 H-1^st on 6-3 putout; 7.00 60 at the PBR Underclass Invitational. Moves well laterally and has soft hands. Has tremendously quick hands at plate. Currently plays second base on team; has athleticism to play shortstop.

1/20/13 - Athletic build, 5-foot-10, 160-pound middle infielder. Hits from balanced setup, smooth load, long stride, good balance throughout, gets extension, bat speed is present. Good feet, 7.00 runner. Defensively shows soft hands, athletic feet, footwork is quick and fluid. Arm plays well, flashes carry, 77 mph.

1/22/12 Fairfield is a 5-foot-10, 150-pound middle infielder who impressed with his quick-twitch athleticism. Offensively, Fairfield showcased extremely quick hands and fast hips. He creates excellent whip and torque in his swing as he laced line drives to both sides of the field. Defensively, Fairfield showed soft hands and quick feet; he plays through the ball well and moves with fluid purpose. Additionally, Fairfield ran a 7.28 60 and posted a velocity of 75 mph from his position.

Fairfield is an athletic 5-foot-10, 150-pound middle infielder who demonstrated quick-twitch ability in everything he did. Fairfield, who ran a 7.21 60, exhibited natural instincts at the shortstop position. He moves with fluidity and rhythm to the ball and showed impressive range. Offensively, Fairfield has quick hands and creates considerable barrel whip through the zone. He has an aggressive approach as he hit the ball with authority to all fields.
