5/24/15 - Very tall lean and athletic for his size. He is a submarine guy that is a bit unconventional due to the very low slot but he is highly effective.  His FB is 86-88 with late life and a very tough angle against right handed hitters. He also has a very good breaking ball at 79-80 mph with some depth, which is very difficult to throw from that slot. He also shows a CHG at 78-79 mph with the same sink as his FB. Was 13-0 on a state championship team.  A winner! These guys don’t often go high in the draft but they can still pitch in the big leagues. He reminds me of Darrin O’Day, who was a non-drafted free agent out of UF who pitched in the big leagues.

4/2/15 - 6-foot-9 220 senior committed to Virginia Tech.  Was dominant against Sarasota with his sidearm/submarine delivery that showed great movement and life on his fastball and a sweeping breaking ball that he threw for a strike at any time in the count.  Also showed a changeup but wasn’t really needed against Sarasota.  Was around the zone all night with his two pitch mix, was dominant most of the night, threw 4 innings of the 5 inning shortened game.  4 IP, 1H, 6K, 1BB.

3/3/15 - Virginia Tech commit. 6-foot-8 215 pound senior RHP with a long, lean, athletic build.  Throws sidearm almost submarine type pitcher with great movement and good command of three pitches.  Throws a fast ball that sits around 86 and was up to 88-89 at times.  Due to arm angle gets great arm side run and can hammer the inner half on righties.  Also throws a sweeping breaking ball that he spots well and throws at any time in the count.  Change up is his third pitch which has some downward movement to it that he can throw for a strike.  Pounded the strike zone throughout the night against Port Charlotte getting ground ball after ground ball giving up only 1 hit through 5 IP and only allowing 3 base runners to reach throughout the night.  Picked up the win.

2/12/15 - Virginia Tech commit. 6-foot-8, 215 pound right hander who is extremely tall, with a loose lean, and projectable body. He has all the room to fill out. In his windup he drops down, his arm goes toward the first baseman after he breaks, he closes himself off a little when he lands, and throws across his body with a loose, low sidearm release. His fastball has good arm-side run and sink when he keeps it down. He as an above average slider that has a 9/3 sweeping break and breaks late. He fills up the zone with both pitches and uses them both in all counts. His fastball sits at 84-87 MPH and his slider is 77-79 MPH. Against Jesuit they could not figure him out as he went four innings, allowing no runs and striking out six.

2/6/15 - Very tall skinny projectable body. Athletic for such a big guy. Sidearm slot with a loose whippy arm action. FB has big sink, occasionally late sink at 85-88 mph. SL is a sweeping breaking ball with more width than depth at 79-81 mph. Throws both for strikes. Tough angle against right handed hitters. 3 innings, 3 hits, 1 run, 4 K 1 BB
