6-foot-3, 170-pound, long, wide, athletic frame. The back is wide, neck is long, has plenty of room to fill out and put added weight on. A right-handed hitter, the stance is open to even, wider than shoulder width, hands start just above back shoulder, with elbow extended outward just so slightly. For timing uses a minimal stride, lower body is under control. The swing path is down to up, has more of a pull approach. The upper body, leans over them midsection at times, loses leverage. Showed to have average power. Defensively, prep steps and footwork are advanced, attacks the baseball and stepped through hard gaining ground towards his target. The arm action is long and smooth on the backside, arm works out of a natural ¾ slot. The arm was clocked at 73 mph, throws were downhill and gave the receiver something to handle. Off the mound, this left-handed pitcher, works from a controlled delivery, hands start and stay high throughout, leg raise is smooth, gets to a good tight gather position, has some coil to it. The stride is inline, gets square to the plate on release, has slight pull with the frontside glove. The backside could come through more, will help with velocity, wants to slow things down. The arm action is longer, comes out of a low ¾ slot. The fastball was clocked at 70-72 mph, has very good run and sink to the arm side. The breaking ball has more sweeping break to it, clocked at 54-57 mph, changeup showed action to the arm side at 60-61 mph. The ability to throw from a lower slot makes things interesting, will be tough on left-handed hitters, breaking ball needs to be thrown harder. Interesting follow.
