6-foot-1, 180-pound, strong, fast, wide, physical frame. The legs and hands have above average strength to them, big time athlete. A right-handed hitter, the stance is spread out, feet are even, hands are loose at shoulder height, bat starts in a good position. For timing, has a small controlled leg kick, gains ground with stride, hands have separation from the body. The swing is completely flat across his chest, finishes with two hands at chest high. The approach is more pull, gets out front a tick early at times. The lead foot could stay closed, looks to leak early. The baseball jumps off his bat with ease, driving one line drive after another to the pull gap. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 89 mph, and ran an easy 4.18 down the line. Showed to have an athletic long stride with a good kick. Defensively, arm was clocked at 77 mph, arm action is shorter on the backside, more of a crank like action to it. The footwork was under control, uses more of shuffle for the transfer, could gain ground more. The lead leg is short, throws tend to be uphill at times, needs to get out front. Throws were on target and gave the receiver something to handle. During game play, collected couple hits, tracked a ball in gap with ease and worked well behind the plate catching. The feet and hands worked together behind the dish, would be worth it to see him catch. A big time athlete, someone is going to get a good one.
