111/2/16

5-foot-10, 185-pound, strong athletic frame. The shoulders are squared off, well proportioned throughout, hands have strength to them. A right-handed hitter, the stance is simple and balanced throughout. The feet are shoulder width apart and slightly open and gets back to even with his stride. The hands are held at shoulder height, the lower half is under control, uses his entire body to swing the bat. The swing is down to level, finishes it off with two hands, the tee exit velocity was 89 mph, ran a 7.04 60 yard dash. Took two solid rounds of BP, squaring balls up one after another. Defensively, he looked to be much stronger from his previous workout. The was clocked at 72 mph, throws were on a line with a downhill flight. The setup is wide and gets low to the ground, feet look to be quick. The pop times were 2.06-2.09. Looking to potentially, head to prep school for another year.

5-foot-10, 185-pound, average athletic frame, hands and forearms have some strength to them, has plenty of room to fill out. A right-handed hitter, the lower half is even and shoulder width apart. The hands are set up shoulder height and are close to his body. The hands load up with the stride gaining ground. The path is level across his chest and finishes with two hands. The tee exit velocity was 84 mph, with some life out front. Times down the line were 5.08, swings were good in games, didn't get much to show for it. Defensively, behind the plate the setup is balanced, feet are shoulder width apart. The arm action is short and quick, no hesitation, pop times were 2.01-2.22, throws were on the bag and was clocked at 69 mph from the crouch position. Leans forward just so slightly could stay back a bit more, will help in receiving the low pitch. In the outfield, prep steps were good, arm showed good strength, was clocked at 81 mph.

7/28/15
At 5-foot-10, 175 pounds he has a strong athletic body with room to put more weight on. In the outfield, he showed a strong arm clocked at 84 on the gun. His footwork needs to get cleaned up. At third base, he showed okay hands and was 77 across the diamond. His footwork was better in the infield. Behind the dish he did a good job receiving the ball. Arm strength was 73. Footwork was short and quick, times to second base were 2.25-2.41. The transfer was long, and needs to be shortened up. I think catching is where he will end up. At the plate, he hits from the right side, the stance is an even base and the stride is short and simple. The path to the ball is flat, stay through the ball with a one handed finish. The tee exit velocity was 83 and his time from home to first was 4.50. Has some small minor adjustments mechanically as a catcher, but they are all fixable. Off the mound fastball was 74-77, steps open and pulls off.  The direction needs to get cleaned up. The curveball had good rotation to it, was thrown at 63-65. With his arm strength, I see him going behind the dish. Definite follow for me.
