5-foot-6, 155-pound, smaller, athletic frame, shows to have strength for his size, strong wrists and hands. A right-handed hitter, swing is short and compact to the baseball. The swing path is down to level to up, hands stay inside the baseball, with barrel in the zone a long time. The lower half is under control, supplies the swing with some strength. The approach is more line drive from field to field, hard contact, good round of batting practice. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 78 mph, and ran a 8.53 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, good prep steps leading into the baseball, works low to the ground, hands are soft on the catch out front. The transfer is clean, gets baseball into throwing arm quickly, throws from ¾ to lower ¾ slot. The arm was clocked at 73 mph. Moved to both sides, made backhand play look easy. Off the mound, simple repeatable, leg raise is athletic, hands start and stay at the waist. The arm works out of a natural ¾ sot, lower half has good direction. The fastball was clocked at 75 mph, pounded down in the zone with good low strikes. The breaking ball has proper spin, with good velocity to it. Showed to have feel for the changeup at 66 mph. Strength is a must, mechanically sound for his age, time will tell which way he goes.
Sixty-Yard Dash: 8.53
Exit Velocity: 78 MPH
Arm Velocity: 73 MPH
5-foot-6, 135-pound left-handed hitting corner infielder who I thought showed very well for himself at the event. The glove is solid, needs to continue to work on his feet at third base. Moving side to side and forward is imperative to the position. Threw 67 mph across the diamond with accuracy. Ran a 4.91 down the line on his dig to first base. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 75 mph from the left side. Starts with his feet even, front foot slightly open. The front foot closes down as the ball approaches. The barrel works well in the hands, slightly uphill at contact. Uses a 1-handed finish after contact. Had competitive at bats in the game.
Tee Exit Velocity- 75 mph
INF Velocity- 67 mph
