A right-handed sub guy, the slot is side arm to underneath. Looks to me like he just converted to pitching this way, was more over the top in summer. He starts in the set position in a small crouch, needs to get some movement going back to gain some rhythm. The fastball was 72-75 with heavy arm side sink. When he stays behind it and on time with delivery the ball has some life to it. Change up had good depth to it and was thrown in the mid 60’s. The breaking ball needs to get tighter and have some more feel, more of a slip pitch. Matt has a chance to be real offensive, he’s physically advanced, very strong and the frame is going to continue to fill out. The swing is powerful with plus power to pull side. As he continues to work at this, he will have the ability to have serious pop to oppo gap. He has a power bat.

At 6-foot, 190-pounds, has a strong athletic, powerful body. Hits from the right side, the stance is wide, has a bit of a leg kick. The hands are fast and get to the ball quick. The tee exit velocity was 82, showed well in BP, sprayed the ball to both gaps. Time from home to first was 4.76. In the outfield shows an above average arm, velocity was 88, with real good carry and life to it. Footwork was good and tracked balls well, got good jumps. Someone to follow, is polished.
