6-foot, 180-pound, average athletic frame, wiry strong and has plenty room to add weight on. A right-handed pitcher, who has a very powerful arm. Worked out of the set position in his outing. The hands start low and stay low during his controlled leg raise. The arm works out of a ¾ slot, the arm action is short and quick on the backside. The fastball was 85-88 mph, with action to the arm side and the ball explodes out of his hand. The slider is thrown extremely hard at 72-78 mph, more downward action to it, when he stays behind and is on time, it's a serious out pitch. The changeup is a work in progress, needs some more feel with it, was clocked at 78-79 mph. Times to the plate were 1.44. Good looking prospect, high follow with a big arm.
3/2/16
6-foot,175-pound average athletic frame, wiry strong, arms are long, plenty of room for future development. A right-handed pitcher, works solely from the stretch position. The delivery is simple and repeatable, entire body works well and is effortless. The hands are set at mid chest, leg raise is easy, stays strong on the backside and lands in line. The arm is super clean on the back side, has some hand speed and whip out front on release. The fastball was clocked at 86-89 mph, ball jumps out of his hand and he works downhill nicely. The slider 75-77 mph has late bite and curveball has 11/5 break and was clocked at 72-74 mph. Both breaking balls are above average. The change up is a work in progress, needs to have more feel of it, was thrown at 78-80 mph, a bit too firm. Times to the plate were 1.57-1.77, needs to be quicker to the plate. One of the better arms in the state.
11/15/15
A right-handed pitcher who showed extremely well for himself at this workout. The delivery is very simple and is repeatable, only works out of the set position. The leg raise is easy, has a little coil to it at the top, hands are still and are set in the middle of his body. The arm action is clean, free and easy, ball gets on you quick. The fastball sits in the mid 80’s, has heavy arm side run to it. The breaking ball is a hard curveball that shows plus depth and very good downward break to it, it's thrown at 73-74. The changeup is a work in progress but with his athletic ability should be able to refine it through reps and hard work. Times to the plate are 1.40-1.56. All the makings are here for him to be a big time backend of the bullpen type of a guy. The frame is athletic and has some fast twitch actions to him. Much more in the tank, velocity wise it's going to continue to climb. Definite follow for me, like this one a ton.
