6-foot-2, 160-pound, long and lengthy athletic frame, has room to fill out and put weight on. A left-handed pitcher, delivery is repeatable, has tempo and timing to it, arm action is long and loose on the back side, arm works out of a natural ¾ slot. The lead leg lands slightly across the body, front side glove has some pull to it, could stay on it longer. The extension is good out front on release of the baseball. The fastball was clocked at 78 mph, with action to the arm side. The breaking ball was clocked at 65 mph, more slurve break to it, spin is good. Showed feel for the change up as well, clocked at 69 mph. Offensively, balanced in the box, front foot slightly open, hands are relaxed at the shoulders. For timing uses a higher leg kick, transfers weight from back side to the front side. The swing is level to up, approach is more to the pull side, had a tee exit velocity of 80 mph and was clocked at 4.94 down the line. Look for the velocity to continue to climb, feel for the secondary stuff, good follow.
6-foot-2, 160-pound left-handed pitcher. Excellent looking pitching prospect and with a few tweaks could be a real good one down the road. The fastball touched 77 mph, with arm side action and run to it. The spin pitch is big, using more fastball hand speed will come with aging, the pitch sits at 60 mph. The changeup is a work in progress, sits at 70 mph. The frame is long and lanky. The arm works nice, clean and fluid. The slot is slightly above ¾. The feet have major crossfire to them, which is hurting his ability to throw strikes. The feet don’t need to be perfect but in this case, they need to be aligned more appropriately. The tracking of the front shoulder needs to stay direct to the catcher as well, he comes off target too early. The glove comes across the hitters face as he gets into foot strike. The pickoff move is advanced as well. Solid arm, like I said, with tweaking he could be a guy down the road.
