6-foot-2, 165 pounds, lean, athletic, lanky. He throws from a ¾ slot. The arm is a little slow he does not leverage his backside to create more extension on his throws. Tinkering with this mechanical flaw could help unlock more velocity. His fastball was clocked between 73-77 mph, frequently registering at 75-76 mph. He throws a heavy ball and is at his best when peppering the lower half of the zone with it. He features a curveball as a secondary offering that was charted between 57-63 mph. The pitch can be loopy and tightening up the spin could pay huge dividends for Fukushima as a complement to his fastball. With a projectable frame with the room to add strength gains, it would not be surprising if he added more velocity heading into his next high school season.
