7/18/17

5-foot-10, 130-pound, thin athletic frame, shoulders are sloped, arms are long, has room to add muscle on.  A right-handed middle infielder, better suited for second base, or even making a move to left field. Swung the bat extremely well, collecting 3 hits, including 2 doubles. At the plate, stance is slightly open and wider than shoulder width. The hands are set at shoulder height, are loose and swing is free and easy through the zone, barrel has some whip to it out front on contact. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 75 mph and ran a 4.93 from home to first. Defensively, showed good prep steps, worked from the ground up, leads into an easy transfer. The arm works out of a higher slot, clocked at 69 mph, front side pulls off just so slightly. Projects more as a corner outfielder, arm action is better suited for outfield play. Strength is a must, will aid in his development.

The swing path is straight across his chest and finishes with one hand. The hands are loose and work, the tee exit velocity was 75 mph. In the field, his prep steps were good, fielded balls out front, could get slightly lower and keep his feet moving towards target. The transfer and arm action is short and clean.
