3/7/17

5-foot-11, 170-pound, long, lengthy, wiry strong, super athletic frame. The shoulders are squared off, well proportioned athlete, has plenty of room to fill out. A left-handed hitting middle infielder. Defensively, shows to have above average actions, body parts work freely. The hands and feet work well together, arm might be his best toll, clocked at 82 mph, it's quick, ball comes out with plenty of carry across the diamond. The hands are soft, works from the ground up, feet are good, easy effort. The double play feeds are smooth and performed properly, made the pro move slow roller look easy. At the plate, stance is taller, feet are shoulder width apart, are slightly open. The hands are loose at shoulder height, bat starts in a good hitting position. For timing has a small leg kick, hands need more separation, has some wrap to them. The swing path is level across the chest, the approach is gap to gap, line drives. The hands want to work, keeps them inside the baseball, could let the ball travel more at times. Speed might be his best tool ran an easy 6.97, with an easy kick, time should continue to drop. Big time follow, raw prospect, once he gets more experience, game is going to take off.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 6.97

Exit Velocity: 80-mph

Arm Velocity: 82 mph

10/29/16

5-foot-10, 155-pound, wiry strong, long athletic athlete, has plenty of room to fill out. The athleticism is his best tool, actions, movements are free and easy and work with little effort. Defensively, the hands are soft, works from the ground and fields the baseball out front. The transfer is quick with feet and hands working together, shows quickness to both sides, came through the backhand and fielded the slow roller on the inside of proper foot. The arm action is short and clean, was clocked at 75 mph, with carry. At times looks to rush it, needs to stay behind it, so he gets true accurate flight to the throw, has much more in his arm. At the plate, hits from the left side, stance is slightly open, tall and hands are set just at shoulder height. The lower half is under control, uses a small leg kick for timing, stride is straight to in just so slightly, can cut himself off at times. The swing path is level to up, could stay through it more, when he stays in the middle of the field, baseball has some carry to it in the gaps. The tee exit velocity was 82 mph, and ran an easy 4.4 from home to first. In game performance was good, showed to be aggressive at the plate. As he gets stronger, his game should go to another level, high follow with the athletic ability.
