At 5-foot-9, 175 pounds, he has a very strong body and serious strength in his hands. At the plate, he hits from the right side, has a solid approach, showed good in BP, driving the ball to both gaps. During the game he had good at bats, the swing creates good backspin for his age. The hands are loose and they work, his tee exit velocity was 79 and ran a 4.53 down the line, ran very hard. Behind the plate, he showed a balanced setup, pop time was 2.04-2.13, transfer was good, arm strength was 73 down to second base, but footwork can get cleaned up. At first base he showed soft hands and good footwork around the bag. Someone to stay on, has some strength and bat speed. Time will tell where he will end up playing.
A right-handed hitting catcher. The frame is strong, not real long, but has some serious strength to him. The stance is balanced, at times hits off his front. The hands are very strong had a tee exit velocity of 79. Swung the bat well in the game. Behind the dish, set up is good. The arm strength was 73 down to second. Footwork can get cleaned up a bit, simple quick fix. Times to second were from 2.04-2.13. Showed solid makeup, worked well with his pitchers.
