No. 7 2015 and No. 264 overall. Committed to New Mexico. 6-foot-3, 180 pounds. Tall thin frame, with plenty of room for growth. Throws from the ¾ slot and has loose whippy arm action. Wind-up is quick and aggressive. Fastball sat around 87-88 all game, topping out at 89mph today. Didn’t throw his change-up as much but it was around 80 mph. Throws what appeared to be a slurve at 77 mph, which had a gradual swooping break to it. His 12-6 curveball sat around 74mph. His curveball flashed some greatness to it, when thrown properly. Had a nasty bite to it that fooled hitters every time. The problem today was that his curveball was very inconsistent. If he can harness that control, he is a very tough pitcher to beat, as he has the stuff to dominate a game. 1.25 sec from the mound to the plate from the stretch. Flashed quick feet and a very nice pick move to 1b. Is currently 4-2 on the season with a 3.72 ERA after starting out the season with two tough starts. In 37 innings pitched he has struck out 44 only giving up 26 hits.
Currently ranked No. 7 in the 2015 class and is a University of New Mexico Commit. 6-foot-3, 180 pounds. Very projectable lanky frame with room to grow. Remy was the best player on the field in this big Continental League match-up which could have decided the league championship in this very competitive league. Remy from a high 3/4 arm slot was 88-89 with his fastball, and flashed a 76 mph 11/5 curve ball which was his best pitch of the day helping him register 10 strikeouts and only giving up 3 hits and one walk for a complete game against a tough Golden Eagles team. With his frame and body you can see his potential to be a consistent lower 90's thrower. After a slow start to the season, his last 24 innings pitched has produced a 3-1 record, and has only given up 8 earned runs, 15 hits, and has registered 32 strikeouts.
