6-foot-4, 175 pounds. Son of former big league pitcher Pedro Astacio. Wiry frame with a ton of more velocity in it some day. Loose and quick arm from a 3/4 arm slot. Astacio was 86-87 and fastball had arm side run. Change had fastball arm speed coming in at 79 mph. Curve had late break with 11/5 shape at 73-74 mph. Cannot play this spring at Cherry Creek due to just moving back from Dominican and is a 5th year senior. Top prospect to follow.
