5-foot-8, 140-pound, right-handed hitting 3 position player.  During the infield drills he showed soft hands, quick footwork and quick exchanges.  He showed a strong accurate arm and had an infield velocity of 80 mph from shortstop.  At the plate he starts with a balanced set-up and wide stance.  He uses a simple stride and small load.  He has a short bat path, compact swing and bat speed, 80 mph on his exit velocity. He repeatedly drove the ball in the middle of the field.  On the mound he topped out at 83 mph with a live fastball with late movement.  He has good command of 3 pitches and follows up his fastball with a 67mph curve and a 65-66 mph change-up.  Ran a 4.5 home to first.  

9.14.14 5-foot-8, 140 pound right-handed hitting MIF/RHP impressed with very good skills showcasing good hands and range with good accuracy throwing the ball 84 mph across the diamond from shortstop. Hits from an athletic stance with minimal load, producing short uphill bat path with good bat speed and extension. On the mound Arellano showed same promise with a loose, 3/4 arm slot with level shoulders and squared, in-line delivery toward plate. Fastball topped out at 82 mph sitting at 80 and curveball was 68 mph with late breaking 11/5 action. Ran a 7.13 60. and had a 4.53 home to first time.
