Comments
8/9/16 - Started for the Brewers and allowed two unearned runs on two hits. He walked two and struck out four. His fastball was 92-95 early, but settled in at 89-91 by the third.
7/24/16 - Started Under Armour All-America Game. Fastball ranged from 92-95 and his curveball was 72-73, not showing the same sharpness it has in the past. Allowed a run on a hit and two walks while striking out two in two innings.
6/27/16 - Started opposite of Allen and also logged three innings. He allowed two hits and two walks while striking out three. His fastball was 93-97 with arm-side life.
6/23/16 - Closed out game for Free. Crouse is an interesting character on the mound and Sean Duncan dropped a Mark Fidrych comparison. It’s spot on. He has goofy antics on the mound, seemingly talks to himself and varies his delivery. At times, he incorporates a shoulder shimmy much like Luis Tiant or Johnny Cueto and occasionally had a his trailing leg whip around like Yordano Ventura. There is some violence in his delivery, but the stuff that comes out is legit. His fastball was 95-97 and he had a 78-79 curveball with sharp, 12/6 break.
