PLAYER SPOTLIGHT

Shane Muntz

Malvern Prep, C/RHP, Class of 2017

While the Virginia Tech commit's work on the bump is what has people buzzing to this point (FB has been up to 91), the physical 6-foot-4, 240-pounder is making strides as a position player. He received well and used his easy arm strength to log a 2.03 in-game pop time that has room for improvement. Muntz has also demonstrated above average pop in his bat with a bat exit velocity of 97 mph. The junior is ranked No. 1 in PA and No. 17 in the PBR overall Class of 2017 rankings.

Trent Vietmeier

Montour HS, RHP, Class of 2017

Vietmeier, an LSU commit, looks the part of a college upperclassman at 6-foot-4, 210-pounds. The righty works effortlessly from a high 3/4 arm slot sitting sitting in the upper 80s while touching the low 90s. He has shown the ability to command the zone with significant run to his fastball. Vietmeier has two additional quality offerings in a 75 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation and a 75 mph changeup with run and sink. Both pitches are thrown with above average arm speed and compliment Vietmeier's power fastball well. Vietmeir is ranked No. 2 in PA and No. 18 in the PBR overall Class of 2017 rankings.

Joe Lancellotti

Archbishop Wood HS, OF/RHP, Class of 2017

The 6-foot, 195-pound North Carolina commit has shown impressive two way abilities with a strong arm and solid foot speed (7.01). He attacks hitters on the mound with a fastball that sits in the upper 80s while topping out in the low 90s. Lancellotti has displayed 90 mph arm strength from the outfield and well above average bat speed (95mph) with the potential to be a middle of the order stick at the next level. The junior is ranked No. 3 in PA and No. 21 in the PBR overall Class of 2017 rankings.

Kyle Virbitsky

Episcopal Academy, RHP/IF, Class of 2017

Virbitsky impressed with an 87 mph fastball from an over the top arm slot and a power breaking ball at 77 mph with 12/6 rotation at the PBR Future Games. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound righty worked two solid inings also displaying a solid changeup at 78 mph. Virbitsky flashed his athleticism by flashing an 87 mph arm across the diamond while running a 7.46 60-yard dash on evaluation day. The right-handed hitter displayed a 95 mph bat exit velocity and went 2-for-6 with a walk at the plate during game action. The recent Penn State commit is ranked No. 7 in PA and No. 184 overall in the PBR overall Class of 2017 rankings.

Dillon Marsh

Lancaster Catholic, LHP/1B, Class of 2018

Marsh oozes projection from his 6-foot-1, 190-pound frame and easy delivery. The lefty pitched from a high three-quarter slot with high front side and slightly crossfire delivery at the PA Top Prospect Games in June. Marsh' fastball sat 82-84, touching 85, with some run and sink. The sophomore showed very good arm speed on his changeup at 76-77. The left-handed hitter has a relaxed set-up,  with a loose, easy swing with some present power. Marsh showcased a 90-mph exit velocity and exhibited good feet and a soft glovehand with solid defensive actions. He is ranked No. 1 in PA and No. 11 in the PBR overall Class of 2018 rankings.
