Another top-level Class of 2014 prospect is off the board, as Sandburg RHP Bryan Pall has committed to the University of Michigan. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Pall is currently ranked No. 9 in Illinois’ talented junior class, and No. 47 overall. Pall became one of the hottest prospects in the Midwest this fall after he showcased an 80-83 mph slider to go along with his 86-88 mph fastball.

Seven of the top 10 ranked juniors in Illinois are now verbally committed.

RHP Brian Jestice capped his meteoric rise this fall with a commitment to Evansville. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound right-hander from Fremd HS first impressed at the Fall Prospect Program, showing consistent 85-88 mph velocity. Jestice put the final punctuation on his ascension when, at the PBR Unsigned Senior Showcase in October, he touched 91 mph a few times, sitting at 89 mph.

Two John A. Logan JC standouts have picked their four-year schools: LHP Weston Mason (Mt. Vernon HS) and 3B Keelin Rasch (Harrisburg HS) have both committed to Louisiana-Monroe.

Two Black Hawk College players have committed: RHP Seth Fuller, who was a standout at Moline HS, is heading to Northern Illinois, while C Kendall Patrick has committed to Michigan.

Sam Couch, a RHP from Joliet Catholic Academy, has committed to Lewis University.

Brendan DePoy, a 1B from Columbia HS, has committed to Rhodes College in Memphis.
