West Virginia Top Prospect Games Spotlight: RHP Jacob Bolander
July 19, 2014
By Greg Williams
WV Director of Scouting
With the West Virginia Top Prospect Games less than a month away (August 9-10) it is time to begin highlighting some of the prospects that will be in attendance. The two day event will involve two nine inning games being played each day. There are still limited rosters spots open. CLICK HERE to request your invitation to participate.
6-foot-1, 185-pound RHP Jacob Bolander (East Fairmont) will look to impress on the mound. The righty, ranked No. 9 in the WV Class of 2016, sat 78-79 touching 80 mph from a high 3/4 arm slot during the his sophomore season. Bolander displayed repeatable mechanics with the potential to add significant velocity in the coming years. The highlight of the high school season for Bolander was a no-hitter he tossed in a 1-0 win over cross-town rival Fairmont Senior.
