Top Stories of 2014: #12 - PBR Recruiting Essentials Unveiled

Philadelphia Region Director of Scouting
Prep Baseball Report Executive Director Sean Duncan has stated that PBR's mission "is to promote high school baseball and, ultimately, help prep athletes achieve their dreams of playing baseball at the next level." The primary way the organization has gone about this is through its showcase and scouting services -- including player rankings, videos, scouting reports, and high school game recaps.
However, beginning in January of 2014, PBR Kansas Director of Scouting Sean McCann debuted PBR Recruiting Essentials. This blog is aimed at "high school baseball players that strive to play baseball at the next level, their families, coaches, as well as anyone with an interest in learning more about the college baseball recruiting process." The information provided in Sean's articles ranges from broad topics about NCAA recruiting rules to hyper-specific topics such as how to choose an e-mail address that won't turn off college coaches. Deep understanding of the recruiting process is a huge asset to navigating your way through it, and can be just as valuable a resource to prospective college baseball players as the exposure provided by our events. Sean's eighteen years of college coaching experience, including nine at Missouri and Kansas State, provide a breadth and depth of insight that can benefit players of all skill levels.
