The Super 60 Pro Showcase will takes place on Super Bowl Sunday every year. Over the past 12 years the Super 60 has become the most heavily scouted preseason event for potential draft picks in the Midwest. The primary purpose of the Super 60 is to give professional area scouts and cross-checkers a head start to the high school season.
The event historically draws upwards of 100 professional scouts of all levels. Since the event's inception in 2003, more than 150 players have been selected in the MLB Draft. Last year saw 16 of the 26 pitchers touch 90-mph or better, while 16 of the 36 position players ran sub-7 60s.
The 2014 version of the event brought together some of the most talented prospects in the 10 state Prep Baseball Report coverage area (now 21 states and countin) at the Max-McCook Athletic & Exposition Center's state of-the-art 125,000 square-foot open turf facility just outside of Chicago. The 12th edition of the Super 60 Showcase also marked the first time that the state of West Virginia had representation. RHP Shane Ennis (Hampshire HS) became the first prospect from the mountain state to participate in the event's storied history when he threw a bullpen session for the gathering of scouts in attendance.
Ennis is now applying his craft as a member of the West Virginia University pitching staff. Below is a look at Ennis' profile heading into the event and the results for all prospects in attendance.

Ennis has sat at No. 1 in the West Virginia Class of 2014 rankings since PBR's arrival in the state in May of 2013. He will make the lengthy trip from Romney, WV to become the first prospect from West Virginia to participate in the Super 60 Pro Showcase. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound junior had a 2-3 record in 2013 with 8 saves and 68 strikeouts in 40 innings of work, mostly out of the bullpen for Hampshire HS. Ennis also showcased his athleticism offensively hitting .447 with 38 RBI, 10 doubles, a triple and six home runs.
The talented righty participated in the PA Top Prospect Games in June and the Fall College Prospect Program in October. He sat 86-88 out of a high 3/4 arm slot and appeared to have more in the tank. Ennis also displayed a 72 mph curveball with 11/5 break as well as a 76 mph changeup. While he is still raw, his physical frame and his room for refinement is very intriguing.
