Ennis has sat at No. 1 in the West Virginia Class of 2014 rankings since PBR's arrival in the state in May of 2013. He will make the lengthy trip from Romney, WV to become the first prospect from West Virginia to participate in the Super 60 Pro Showcase. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound junior had a 2-3 record in 2013 with 8 saves and 68 strikeouts in 40 innings of work, mostly out of the bullpen for Hampshire HS. Ennis also showcased his athleticism offensively hitting .447 with 38 RBI, 10 doubles, a triple and six home runs.
The talented righty participated in the PA Top Prospect Games in June and the Fall College Prospect Program in October. He sat 86-88 out of a high 3/4 arm slot and appeared to have more in the tank. Ennis also displayed a 72 mph curveball with 11/5 break as well as a 76 mph changeup. While he is still raw, his physical frame and his room for refinement is very intriguing.
