Power ParkFollowing three weeks of game play, cancellations due to rain, a three day break for mandatory West Tests and finally we have four regional champions in three classifications. The final 12 teams in the state left standing in their respective classifications will make the trip to Charleston and Appalachian Power Park for this week's state semifinals and championships. The three day tournament will kick off with semifinal action Thursday and Friday with all three state final games to be contested on Saturday, June 1.

                    State tournament pairings (at Appalachian Power Park)

May 30 - Class AA Semifinals

  • Fairmont Senior (28-6) 9 vs. Bridgeport 6 (30-7), 4:30 p.m. (10 innings)

  • Independence (20-9) 3 vs. Herbert Hoover (30-3) 7, approx. 7:15 p.m.

May 31 - Class A Semifinals

  • Magnolia (30-4) 4 vs. Notre Dame (24-11) 3, 10 a.m.

  • Valley (23-8) 5 vs. Charleston Catholic (28-9) 6, approx. 12:45 p.m.

May 31 - Class AAA Semifinals

  • Parkersburg South (26-10) 3 vs. Hedgesville (27-7) 6, 5 p.m.

  • Woodrow Wilson (20-11) 0 vs. Cabell Midland (24-10) 5, approx. 7:45 p.m.

June 1 - State Finals

  • Class A Championship - Charleston Catholic 9, Magnolia 8

  • Class AA Championship - Herbert Hoover 7, Fairmont Senior 5

  • Class AAA Championship - Hedgesville 4, Cabell Midland 2
