Tristan Fields entered the 2013 high school season as one of the most highly regarded prospects in the Class of 2014. This coming week he will look to lead Herbert Hoover to the 2A state championship.
Fields has put up all-state caliber numbers. Heading into sectional play the 6-foot-1, 205-pound junior was hitting .427 with five home runs and 39 RBI. He has been just as impressive on the mound posting a 5-1 record with 48 strikeouts in 36.1 innings of work and a 2.12 ERA.
Regardless of the outcome for Fields and the Knights this week at Power Park, Fields earned a spot among the elite players in his class.
