The Sissonville Indians are 5-5 overall and 2-2 in league play through the first 10 games of the 2013 season an sophomore 3B/C J.R. Stricklen has had a major impact to date. Stricklen is currently hitting .312 with seven RBI and two doubles. The 6-foot-1, 150-pound prospect has also gotten into the act on the mound with a 1-1 record over 8.2 innings of work to date.
Stricklen is coming off of an impressive freshman season in which he hit .358 with a .398 on base percentage. He had 10 multiple-hit games a year ago that was highlighted by a 5-for-5 performance in a 4-3 loss to Chapmanville Regional.
With his ability to hit for average and to play multiple defensive positions, Stricklen is a prospect to watch in the Class of 2015.
