J.T. Rogoszewski had an impressive sophomore campaign in 2013. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound right-handed pitcher went 6-2 with a sparkling 0.72 ERA with 65 strikeouts in 48.1 innings of work. He will team with RHP Austin Hensley (No. 2 in the WV Class of 2014 rankings), to provide Hurricane HS with the most formidable 1-2 punch on the mound in the state in 2014.
Rogoszewski is currently ranked No. 3 in the WV Class of 2015 rankings, but could push higher if he continues to develop. The righty sits 84-86 and can touch 88 mph. He commands a 77 mph slider/curveball and a 78 mph changeup. Rogoszewski has room to add to his athletic frame which should result in additional velocity in the coming years.
The highlight of Rogoszewski's summer came at the 16U WWBA National Championship in Georgia. Pitching for the Dirtbags Gold, Rogoszewski spun a complete game no-hitter, with 11 strikeouts.
