As we prepare for a trip to Myrtle Beach, SC to jump start the 2015 season with a week's action at the Mingo Bay Classic, we devote this week to our preseason Elite 8 rankings in each classification. Over the next three days we will reveal our top eight teams in each class. Today we take a look at Class AA.

Rank | School | Notes |
1 | Bridgeport |
The Indians look to defend their 2014 state title and are the prohibitive favorite to do so. A large portion of the starting lineup and pitching staff return, including Region 2 Preseason Player of the Year Dante Bonamico. |
2 | PikeView |
The Panthers return a large share of the contributors that helped lead them to a regional finals appearance in 2014. A trip to Charleston is the logical next step for a team that looks to build on a 25 win season and a final ranking of No. 6 in the Elite 8 poll. |
3 | Sissonville |
The Indians have made strides in each of the past two years, playing a number of close games in losses in 2014. A once young roster is now experienced and primed for a run at the state tournament. |
4 | Chapmanville Regional |
Chapmanville Regional advanced to Charleston in 2014 and returns enough firepower to make things interesting in Region IV. |
5 | East Fairmont |
Region 1 Preseason Player of the Year, RHP Jacob Bolander gives the Bees a chance to win any time he takes the mound. |
6 | Herbert Hoover |
Hoover reloads every year and should continue to compete at a high level in the absence of standout RHP Tristan Fields. |
7 | Ravenswood | 26 wins in 2014 and a trip to the regional finals. |
8 | Petersburg |
LHP Brandon George (Penn State recruit) will front a solid pitching staff. |
