Of the close to 180 prospects to showcase their abilities over two days of the 2015 Preseason All-State Showcase, just four hailed from West Virginia. Today we analyze the talents of right-handed pitcher Garrett Lord (Berkeley Springs HS).

Lord is a 6-foot, 160-pound RHP/OF that showcased solely as a pitcher. The junior sat 77-79 out of a high 3/4 arm slot with a long, loose delivery. Lord utilizes a high knee stack and a bit of a hip coil to generate hip rotation while getting over his front leg well. The righty also commanded a 67 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation and a 67 mph changeup thrown at near fastball arm speed.

With the high school season less than a month away the updated WV Class of 2016 rankings are set to be released on Friday.
