Fall Program: Week One Outlfield Analysis

The 2nd Annual Fall College Prospect Program began September 7 at Seton Hill University. The fall format involves two nine inning games and a showcase at each of three stops over the course of the month of September. Today we complete our analysis of the prospects in attendance during Week One of the program by taking a look at the outfielders in attendance.

2015 OF/2B Marcus Gray (Bishop McDevitt)
Gray is a 6.53 runner that displayed the ability to play multiple positions. The 5-foot-9, 155-pound uncommitted senior showcased athletic actions in the outfield with an accurate 78 mph arm and also flashed a 79 mph arm and the ability to play through the baseball in the middle infield. Gray barreled the baseball consistently to all fields during his round of batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 78 mph. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and uses a short swing path with very quick hands to generate barrel whip.
2015 OF Ryan Grieco (Franklin Regional)
Grieco showcased a short, direct swing path from a square stance with a bat exit velocity of 76 mph. The 5-foot-7, 150-pound left-handed hitter went 3-for-6 in game action including a well-executed push bunt. Grieco ran a 7.00 60-yard dash and flashed the top outfield arm of the event at 83 mph. The left-handed thrower showed solid straight line carry to his throws and demonstrated to play though the baseball.
2015 OF/RHP Josh Serafin (Cambria Heights)
Serafin ran a 7.28 60-yard dash and displayed athletic actions defensively with a 78 mph arm. The left-handed hitter displayed a flat bat path through the hitting zone and the ability to consistently barrel the baseball to all fields. Serafin went 4-for-8 with a triple in game action spraying the baseball to all fields. Serafin showed well-rounded abilities topping at 78 mph from the mound out of a high 3/4 arm slot. The uncommitted senior also displayed a 68 mph changeup and a 60 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation.
2017 OF Chase Smith (Central)
Smith is a 5-foot-9, 165-pound right-handed hitter that shined during game play going 5-for-7 with a double and triple over two games. The sophomore showed some gap power potential with a double and a triple. Smith loads up on his backside and gets to extension regularly with a bat exit velocity of 84 mph. He showed athletic actions defensively with an accurate 74 mph arm and ran a 7.25 60-yard dash.

2016 OF Noah Kinser (Serra Catholic)
Kinser ran a 7.24 60-yard dash and displayed an accurate 73 mph arm from the outfield. The 5-foot-11, 145-pound junior hits from a slightly open stance with a toe tap stride. Kinser barreled the baseball frequently during his round of batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 70 mph. The right-handed hitter gets to extension regularly and displayed the ability to use all fields.
2015 OF Jake Krevetski (York Catholic)
Krevetski displayed a fluid swing from a square stance with a lift and replace stride. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound uncommitted senior barreled the baseball routinely and showed the ability to stay behind the baseball very well with a bat exit velocity of 79 mph. Krevetski showcased athletic actions defensively with an accurate 79 mph throwing arm.
2017 OF/RHP Isaiah Lockette (Steelton-Highspire)
Lockette showed raw athleticism in all his actions showcasing a 6.90 60-yard dash and a solid 81 mph arm from the outfield. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a leg lift load to generate barrel whip with a bat exit velocity of 82 mph. Lockette led off the early game with a base hit and squared the baseball in several at bats during the course of the day. Lockette sat 77-79 early in his three innings on the mound with some cut action to his fastball as he worked into his final inning. The sophomore relied primarily on the fastball but did flash an occasional 66 mph curveball with 11/5 break.
2016 OF/2B Dylan Sikora (Hempfield Area)
Sikora is a 6-foot-1, 160-pound junior that ran the top 60-yard dash of the day at 6.82. Sikora showcased an open stance with a flat swing path and a bat exit velocity of 72 mph. The right-handed hitter barreled the baseball frequently during his round of batting practice and displayed the ability to use all fields. Sikora displayed athletic actions and an accurate 76 mph arm from the outfield.
2016 OF/3B Ethan Sikora (Norwin)
Sikora ran a 7.46 60-yard dash and showcased a 77 mph arm from the outfield. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance with a low hands load. Sikora barreled the baseball frequently during his round of batting practice and demonstrated the ability to use all fields. The junior used a leg lift stride and some barrel wrap to create a bat exit velocity of 78 mph.
