Elite 8 Rankings (Week 6)

It has been two weeks since we last updated the Elite 8 rankings allowing many teams to play 8-10 games. As a result there has been some movement in all three classifications.

Following is a brief look at the movers and shakers in the latest rankings. CLICK HERE to see the complete Week 5 rankings.


Class AAA


The big school classification remains fairly in tact with Hurricane still sitting at No. 1. The lone addition to the 3A poll for this week is Logan (12-7) making their first appearance of the season at No. 8.

Class AA


The Bridgeport Indians (17-2) continue to apply pressure to No. 1 Herbert Hoover (17-3) following another undefeated week. The remainder of the 2A teams remain in tact with Ravenswood swapping spots with Fairmont Senior at No. 6 and No. 7.

Class a


No. 1 St. Marys (17-1) suffered their first loss this week to 2A No. 6 Ravenswood, but bounced back to top Notre Dame (15-5) the No. 2 team in Class A. Pendleton County (15-6) and Moorefield (11-8) make their first appearance in the poll at No. 7 and No. 8 respectively this week.
