This fall the Prep Baseball Report will be providing the opportunity for every high school baseball player in the state to attend a showcase fit for them. As the Prep Baseball Report enters its second year in Wisconsin, the effects on recruiting in the state have already been seen. Here’s a look at our fall events this year.
Unsigned Senior Showcase
Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Players Choice of the Fox Cities
The Unsigned Senior Showcase is the perfect opportunity for all 2014 graduates who have yet to make a college commitment, get the opportunity to showcase themselves in front of the PBR scouting staff as well as college coaches from across the state.
This showcase will take place at the Players Choice of the Fox Cities in Appleton, WI. The facility has more than 60,000 square feet of indoor space featuring a full turf area for infield and outfield defense. The Players Choice also features a full netted turf area giving us the ability to take open field batting practice, tracking the flight of the baseball.
We are extremely excited about this event and the talent it will bring. This is an important event for 2014 graduates as it comes one month before the early signing period.
Southern Wisconsin Prospect Identification
Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Stiks Academy
The Southern Wisconsin Prospect Identification Showcase is open to all high school graduating classes from 2014-2017. This is the last opportunity of the year for all Wisconsin high school prospects to get identified by the PBR scouting staff. This event will help shape future class rankings before the winter and identify prospects that are high follows for the following year.
The Stiks Academy is a spacious indoor turf facility giving us the opportunity to run complete defensive evaluations, run 60 yard dashes and batting practice.
Pitchers Showcase and Analysis
Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at GRB Academy
Our Pitchers Showcase and Analysis is a unique event that gives pitchers the opportunity to be evaluated by the PBR scouting staff and receive written feedback. Pitchers will throw 25-30 pitch bullpens while receiving instant feedback and analysis. This event, as all others, will be featured on the Prep Baseball Report website complete with scouting reports and videos.
