Today’s unsigned senior spotlight is on right handed pitcher Westin Wuethrich. Wuethrich hails from Greenwood HS where he is the ace of the staff and a solid contributor to the lineup as well.
At 6-foot-2, 200-pounds this two-way threat hit .343 and drove in 17 RBI for the Indians in 2012 all while posting a 1.20 ERA over 67 innings pitched, recording a whopping 137 strike outs. His numbers stood out enough to capture a first team all-conference selection in 2012 to back up his second team selection as a sophomore.
Kent Hinker, Head Baseball Coach at Greenwood HS had this to say about Westin, “Westin is a great player and person not only on the baseball field but on the football field and basketball court, he is very confident and athletic which makes him a stand out on the field in all sports.”
Wuethrich is hoping for a repeat performance on the mound in 2013 and should be a highly sought after prospect at the next level.
