Unsigned Senior Spotlight: OF Grant Alderman
December 6, 2012

Scouting Director - Wisconsin
Today we will be spotlighting unsigned senior Grant Alderman. Alderman is a left handed hitting and throwing outfielder from Burlington Catholic Central HS. In 2012 Alderman put up solid power numbers in a new age of BBCOR bats, hitting .333 with 5 homeruns and 5 doubles, while driving in 24 RBI in 21 games played.
Alderman is a tremendous athlete who is also a star running back for the Hilltoppers. Unfortunately, Alderman had to undergo Tommy John surgery earlier this year and is battling back to help the Hilltoppers in 2013.
Alderman is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound outfielder who shows pop from the left side. He shows similar athleticism on the baseball field as he does in the backfield for the Hilltoppers. Since donning a Hilltopper uniform, Alderman has been a starting outfielder for Coach Tom O’Connell since his freshman year.
RJ Fergus with The Hitters calls Alderman, “a plus athlete who has tools to play all three outfield positions with power”.
As Alderman battles through rehab of his elbow, we will keep a close eye on his power numbers returning to the lineup for the Hilltoppers.
