Today’s stock report highlights Owen Miller. Miller is a high level shortstop from Ozaukee HS. He is currently the No. 5 ranked prospect in the Class of 2015. His defensive prowess makes him one of the top shortstops in the state.
Miller has an athletic build at 5-foot-11, 160-pounds. One of the premier shortstops in his class he is certainly an elite level shortstop in the region. Miller shows plus hands defensively, his athleticism shows extremely well at shortstop with soft hands defensively. He shows an advanced feel for his backhand as well. His foot work is quick and fluid while his exchange is efficient and clean, making him an excellent candidate to turn the double play.
Offensively Miler hits from a balanced setup using a smooth load and short stride. His lower half is active, working well while generating good timing. His bat path is short and quick using a line drive approach. His easy swing shows athleticism but lacks some extension.
Miller could project as one of the top shortstops in the region as his athleticism and hands will play at a high level as he moves on.
