“I would like to play for a program that has strong pitcher development and allows me to grow and develop as a player. Along with that, I am looking for an opportunity to make an impact right away. I am also looking for a program that has a history of success and has continued that tradition,” said Wonn.
So far Wonn has been in contact with Valparaiso and University of Nebraska – Omaha and has made visits to both.
For now Wonn isn’t setting a timetable for a decision and is more focused on working hard with his offseason program.
“During the offseason I train four days a week with Athlete Performance at their location within STiKS Academy in Oconomowoc. Working with Owner/Trainer Steve Becker and Trainer Taylor Janssen has really helped to make me stronger and more explosive as an athlete. I also take weekly pitching lessons from Doug Henry, who is the Kansas City Royals bullpen coach. He has really helped to refine my mechanics and help me improve as a pitcher.”
